Our clients asked us to produce a Masterplan of site so they could fully use and appreciate the views to surrounds of their house off Charing Hill.
The property is sited on the North Downs and has fantastic views over the Kentish Weald.
Images of steep front bank to property (South facing) that consisted of lots and lots of Box balls that client had previously planted.
Our solution was to terrace the bank (all by hand!) using over 200 sleepers placed horizontally creating 6 x separate levels. This with Yew hedging planted in front gives a wonderful ‘linear’ effect as you approach the house off hill.
In between above hedges we will plant mixed Perennial Grasses and Geraniums, Alliums, Erigeron, Anemone, Achellea, Luzula, Helictirichon and Alchamilla.
As you can see the saved Box balls are planted together to form a ‘cloud’ effect. These are underplanted with Stipa and Giant Alliums and will create a stunning entrance in early Summer.’
More images of project to follow as we progress to rear garden.
