The client has a very contemporary home with views over the Oare Marshes. They requested the introduction of soft landscaping to soften the appearance of the house. 

             We gave the garden area’s some privacy and screening using multi-stemmed Silver Birch trees and added pleached Pear trees to the side of the house.

              The existing hedge at the rear of the property was extended with native hedging species and a feature semi-circle of weeping Crab Apples with uplighting was introduced in the lawn at the rear. 

               The house and surround already included a sunken terraced area, to which we added Olive trees in re-positionable planters. These were under planted with pink Ivy Leaf Geraniums. We added cone-shaped Holly in black planters and Black Bamboo’s, white Hydrangea’s and Agapanthus ‘Giant White’ were planted in a raised bed. 

               All the soft landscaping which we introduced is accompanied by a clever lighting scheme which can be controlled remotely to enhance the beauty of the existing landscape and new gardens.
